Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

Are the pest treatment products safe for my pets and family?

Although precautions should be taken with all chemicals, I have researched and selected products that are as safe as possible. While the treatment is being carried out, I ask that your family be out of the home. I also advise that you remove pets and feed/water bowls during treatment, and cover bird cages and fishbowls. Once the spray has dried on hard floors eg. tiles, wood, laminate, it will be safe to allow pets back inside.

Are the products safe for my furnishings?

The pesticides are water based and will not stain carpets or furnishings.

How long after treatment can I wash my floors?

I recommend washing of floors or any carpet cleaning be done before the treatment to allow as much time as possible for treatment to dry. Leaving a 100mm strip around the perimeter of the room when washing floors will ensure the treatment lasts longer.

Why am I seeing insects after treatment?

For the first week or two following treatment you can expect to see some spider and insect movement as they try to escape the pesticides, and then it should settle down.

What happens in the case of inclement weather on the day of my treatment?

Sometimes weather can affect my ability to treat your home effectively. In the case of heavy rain, strong winds or too high temperatures we may need to reschedule your booking.

How often should I have my home treated?

It is recommended that you have your home treated annually. Sometimes, depending on weather and environment, you may require treatment sooner. You will usually start noticing more insect activity when it’s time to rebook.
